Our story
Local garden clearance team based in Uxbridge
West London Garden Rescue is a garden clearance and garden maintenance team working out of Uxbridge, across the London Borough of Hillingdon and the wider West London area. We take on overgrown garden clearance, hedge cutting, tree work, fencing, patios and paving, turfing and regular maintenance — with every quote given as a fixed price and every price including taking the waste away under our carrier licence. Most of our work comes from within a few miles of Uxbridge, which is exactly how we like it: local enough to quote quickly, and local enough that coming back to put something right is a short drive rather than a scheduling problem.
Why we started
West London Garden Rescue began with a simple observation: the gardens that most needed help were the ones nobody wanted to quote for. Plenty of gardeners will happily mow a tidy lawn every fortnight. Far fewer will take on a plot that has not been touched since the last owner moved out — which is why overgrown garden clearance became the work we built the business around.
Those are the jobs we went after deliberately — the overgrown, the neglected, the ones where the customer opens with an apology about the state of it. There is no need for the apology. It is the reason we exist.
How we work
We are a local team based in Uxbridge, covering West London and the London Borough of Hillingdon. We are not a national franchise with a call centre; when you ring, you speak to the people who will be in your garden.

If your lawn can be scarified rather than replaced, or a tree needs a reduction rather than removal, we will tell you — even though the honest answer is the cheaper one. We would rather have the next job than the bigger invoice.

The formal side
Licensing, insurance and legal duties
The parts of garden work that are governed by law rather than preference — and how we handle each of them.
- Public liability insurance
- We hold public liability insurance covering the work we carry out on your property. If you, a landlord or a managing agent needs to see the certificate before we start, just ask and we will send it across.
- Licensed waste carrier
- Everything we remove goes to a licensed transfer station for proper separation and processing. Waste transfer documentation is available on request — routinely provided for landlords, letting agents and commercial customers.
- Protected tree checks as standard
- We check for Tree Preservation Orders and conservation area status with the local authority before any tree work is quoted, not after it is done. Much of West London sits inside a conservation area, and unauthorised work is a criminal offence.
- Wildlife and nesting season
- Hedges are checked for active nests before cutting between March and August. Where we find one, we leave that section and return later. It is a legal duty rather than a preference.
- Commercial and managed property
- We work with shops, schools, churches, offices and managed residential sites, and can invoice on standard terms with documentation for compliance records.

We invoice agencies directly, provide our public liability certificate and waste transfer documentation for compliance files, and send before-and-after photos so a job can be signed off without anyone needing to attend. Most of these start as a full garden clearance and end with a one-off tidy-up before the photographer arrives.

Clearance is what we are known for and where we started, but it is rarely the whole job. Once a garden is cleared, most people want it kept that way, so we also do hedge cutting, tree work, fencing, patios, turfing, pressure washing and regular maintenance. It is one team and one point of contact for all of it.
